The movie itself draws on too long, and eventually goes past at least two potential endings and heads right into the ridiculous.. About Elly is an exploration of human nature and how sometimes, without intending to, we hurt the ones we love most - including ourselves.. He may be seriously slumming by putting a modern spin on 1972's The Legend Of Boggy Creek, but at least Goldthwait's done his homework..
